A Class in Wonders, frequently abbreviated as ACIM, is just a profound and influential spiritual text that surfaced in the latter half the 20th century. Comprising around 1,200 pages, this comprehensive work is not only a book but a whole program in spiritual change and inner healing. A Course in Wonders is exclusive in its approach to spirituality, pulling from various religious and metaphysical traditions to provide something of thought that seeks to cause individuals to a situation of internal peace, forgiveness, and awareness for their correct nature.

The sources of A Course in Wonders may be tracked back once again to the cooperation between two people, Helen david hoffmeister controversy  and Bill Thetford, both of whom were outstanding psychologists and researchers. The course’s inception occurred in the early 1960s when Schucman, who was a medical and study psychiatrist at Columbia University’s School of Physicians and Surgeons, began to see some internal dictations. She explained these dictations as originating from an inner voice that determined it self as Jesus Christ. Schucman originally resisted these activities, but with Thetford’s encouragement, she began transcribing the communications she received.

Over an amount of eight years, Schucman transcribed what might become A Program in Wonders, amounting to three volumes: the Text, the Book for Students, and the Manual for Teachers. The Text sits out the theoretical base of the course, elaborating on the core concepts and principles. The Workbook for Students contains 365 instructions, one for each day of the season, made to guide the audience via a daily training of using the course’s teachings. The Guide for Educators provides further guidance on how to realize and show the rules of A Class in Wonders to others.

Among the key styles of A Program in Miracles is the thought of forgiveness. The program shows that correct forgiveness is the important thing to internal peace and awareness to one’s divine nature. According to their teachings, forgiveness is not simply a ethical or honest practice but a simple shift in perception. It requires letting go of judgments, grievances, and the perception of failure, and as an alternative, viewing the planet and oneself through the contact of love and acceptance. A Class in Miracles highlights that true forgiveness contributes to the recognition that we are interconnected and that divorce from each other can be an illusion.
